Ask customers who have visited our showroom located on the 18th floor of AmericasMart in Downtown Atlanta and they will tell you that Darrah & Co. is eager to serve you! We are a second-generation, woman-owned, and operated business with 35 years of experience. The Darrah & Co. team includes 22 sales representatives within the Southeast region, and we represent over 35 different brands. Hard work, integrity, hospitality, and relationships are the cornerstones of our business and shape our daily decisions.
Overview: We are seeking a results-driven and dynamic Director of Sales to lead and manage our sales organization. This role is pivotal in recruiting, training, and supporting a high-performing sales team while maintaining strong relationships with the vendors we represent. As a key leader in the company, the Director of Sales will also collaborate with other departments, especially marketing, to ensure the company’s sales efforts align with business objectives. Travel is required to support the sales representative in the field and to visit other major markets.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary, and the Director of Sales is eligible for quarterly and annual bonuses.
Responsibilities:
● Team Leadership & Development:
– Manage Sales Representatives, Inside Sales Representative, and Key Account Representative to ensure alignment with sales goals and efficient operations.
– Recruit, hire, and train new sales representatives to ensure a well-equipped and motivated sales team.
– Monitor and record weekly, monthly and quarterly sales to track team performance and address any concerns.
– Provide a written weekly recap every Friday afternoon to the sales team.
– Work with each sales representative annually to set realistic, achievable goals.
– Provide emotional and professional support to the sales team to enhance productivity and morale.
– Conduct quarterly performance reviews to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
● Sales Strategy & Execution:
– Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business channels and expand the customer base.
– Analyze sales reports to identify weaknesses in performance and develop strategies to improve productivity and sales results.
– Meet weekly with management to review sales strategies and sales team performance.
– Prioritize time working closely with top-performing lines (5-10) to increase sales.
– Assist in line acquisition, working alongside the President to ensure the company’s product offerings stay competitive and profitable.
● Vendor & Customer Relations:
– Maintain strong, professional relationships with all vendors to ensure effective communication and mutual understanding of needs.
– Create and maintain relationships with key customers.
– Communicate with customers as necessary to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction with products and services.
● Operations & Reporting:
– Regularly utilize MarketTime, Excel spreadsheets, and One Drive to track and report on sales activities, performance, and market trends.
– Plan and coordinate the company’s annual sales meeting to drive team motivation and alignment with company goals.
– Assist with showroom layout, set up and line design to ensure efficient display to optimize showroom sales.
● Marketing & Communication:
– Participate in the marketing committee and collaborate on the approval of all customer communications on behalf of Darrah & Co.
– Provide strategic input into marketing materials and mass communications to ensure they resonate with customers and support sales efforts.
● Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
● Proven experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within the wholesale gift industry.
● Experience managing, recruiting, and training sales teams.
● Strong knowledge of sales operations, reporting, and analytics.
● Familiarity with tools such as MarketTime, Excel, and OneDrive.
● Willingness to travel to support the sales team and vendors.
